Fairytale Canyon (Skazka):
Red Rocks, Secret Viewpoints & Unreal Shapes

February 25, 2026 · 5 min read

Skazka means “Fairytale” — and once you enter this canyon, you instantly get why. Waves of red sandstone, sharp ridges, and rock shapes that look like castles, dragons, and broken fortresses. It’s one of the easiest, most photogenic stops on the Issyk-Kul south shore.
